JBS Yachting was founded in 2018 by two experienced yacht builders with a clear vision: building a yacht should be an enjoyable experience for everyone. We started with the production of Wajer decks, with the aim of speeding up their construction process and making it more efficient.

Outsourcing their decks proved to be a great success and led to strong growth in production. Several shipyards soon followed suit and outsourced their projects to us as well. Our engineers developed into all-round specialists, allowing us to handle increasingly complex projects. For example, we carried out a major refit project for Royal Huisman and worked on the construction of branded yachts for renowned names such as KM Yachtbuilders, Proton Yachts, Leonardo Yachts, LRC and Waterspoor. As a result, we have built up a broad portfolio, ranging from elegant and luxurious recreational yachts and sailing yachts to commercial vessels and unique branded yachts.

In our workshop in Sint Nicolaasga we think along with you, take care of the work preparation and purchasing, and we install all the technology ourselves. We outsource the hull, spraying and interior construction to our specialized partners. However, we remain closely involved in the process, even when your yacht is with our partners. In this way, we monitor the quality and can implement any adjustments in good time, which benefits the efficiency of the further construction process.

With our knowledge and experience, we also offer support for the custom construction of yachts. Do you have an idea for a boat or yacht, but don’t know where to start? We think along with you, call in the right specialists from our extensive network and develop a concept plan. In this way, we make your ideas visual and offer a clear cost overview. We attach great importance to open communication and ensure that you always know exactly where you stand.

Work preparation
We think along with you to make your idea visual, build an existing yacht more efficiently or optimally carry out a refit. If desired, we advise you on the latest developments and innovations in the market. In addition, we assess and optimize the technical diagrams provided and, if necessary, we can take care of the complete work preparation.

In addition to developing technical drawings, we draw up a realistic schedule and maintain close contact with our partners to ensure that construction runs smoothly.

Purchasing
A detailed Bill of Materials follows from the work preparation, so that we know exactly what is needed before construction starts. In consultation with the customer, we determine who is responsible for purchasing per component. In this way, we create the most favorable situation for both the customer and ourselves.

Because purchasing and planning are closely linked, we maintain control over our projects. This ensures short lines of communication and minimizes the risk of misunderstandings.

Construction
At JBS Yachting, we take care of the technical finishing of your yacht. This includes the installation of electrical and installation technology, mechanization and systems such as drinking water and black water systems. The control system and lighting plan are also installed in our workshop in Sint Nicolaasga.

We outsource the hull, spray painting and interior construction to specialist partners, but we remain closely involved in the process. This way we monitor the quality and can implement any adjustments in good time, which benefits the efficiency of the further construction process.

Sea trial
You will only receive your yacht when it has been fully tested and is ready to sail. This way we guarantee the quality and you can enjoy your yacht without any worries.

We act as your construction partner throughout the entire process. We offer professional advice, take all worries off your hands and bring back the fun in yacht building. Because we are convinced that building a yacht should be just as enjoyable as sailing itself.
